What’s It About?
Like the 90's original, ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK? THE ORIGINAL PODCAST brings spooky campfire stories to life. Kids part of the Midnight Society narrate horror tales of ghosts, ghouls, and a game of hide-and-seek gone wrong. Each episode features new characters and storylines, alongside sound effects like spiders crawling and chilling music. One episode features a family trapped in a haunted house for the holidays, while another follows Hannah, who finds a mystical amulet that lets all of her wishes come true, good and bad. Episodes are short but jam-packed with action, adventure, and plenty of frightening chills and thrills.
Is It Any Good?
Captivating plot lines and detailed storytelling make this podcast a great spooky screen-free options for older kids and adults alike. Are You Afraid of the Dark? The Official Podcast brings back the campfire storytelling-style that many loved about the 90's horror series and its reboot. Sound effects of whispers, ghostly moans, and creaky floors put you right into the story giving you a front row seat to each haunting scene. Characters are complex, even for young kids, as they face bullies, navigate friendship, and learn about teamwork all while narrowly escaping deathly creatures. Thrilling, spooky, and entertaining, with great sound production, music, and talented voice actors, this podcast is sure to leave you shaking in your headphones.
Talk to Your Kids About ...

Teamwork often comes into play when the characters have to come together to survive the night. Why is teamwork an important character strength in scary stories?
Episodes are meant to frighten us, but they're also supposed to be fun. What's entertaining about being scared? Do you like scary stories? How do you know when something might be too intense for you?
