The voyeuristic TV documentary series follows a diverse group of top athletes from all over the world playing hard in hopes of taking the place of a generation of tennis legends. As they tour with the WTA (Women's Tennis Association), ATP (men's professional tennis circuits), and play the four Grand Slams -- the Australian Open, Roland-Garros (aka the French Open), Wimbledon, and the U.S. Open -- viewers can see how each of them deal with injuries, cope with never-ending pressure, and navigate controversies and opportunities as they arise throughout the season. But in addition to underscoring how physically, emotionally, and psychologically grueling the life of a professional tennis player can be while noting the commitment required to be a top-seed, Break Point looks at the overall world of the professional tennis community and the relationships within it. Those less enthusiastic about the sport may find it a little tedious after a few episodes, but tennis fans will enjoy watching the overall production from start to finish.
