What's the Story?
BROWN AND FRIENDS mainly takes place in a neighborhood coffee shop frequented by all of the characters in the Line Friends group. Sometimes Brown, an expressionless and nonverbal bear, and his friends venture to other locations around town. In adventures that range from major to somewhat insignificant, Brown and his friends navigate friendship and everyday life with silly sound effects, funky flatulence, and pops of personality.
Is It Any Good?
Sophisticated computer-generated imagery complements the simplicity of this virtually dialogue-less show. Brown and Friends wins with cool graphics that bring to life the adorable character stickers from the popular LINE messaging app. It's the cool animation (and short run times) that will make parents game to sit through a few episodes. With funny sound effects and silly potty humor, Netflix has hit a home run with young kid viewers. Though the substance is relatively superficial, there's something for everyone in this fun, fast-paced show.
