Great movie for tweens

I was expecting this movie to be more childish, but it totally blew me away. The voice talent and directing was FANOMINAL! This movie made me laugh hysterically at some points, but also cry or feel anticipation. For younger kids, some topics could fly over their heads or evoke questions. When I saw the movie in theaters, there was a little boy, probably around 5 years old, who asked to go home. At the same time, attention spans of younger kids these days is not stellar, so certain moments with more heart and emotion could be seen as disengaging to them. The movie reminded me of my early childhood and brought back some good memories of having imaginary friends of my own. Once this movie comes out on digital, I am excited to buy and watch it again.

This was a great movie, it’s wholesome and adorable, and it made me cry. It has a slow beginning to it, can be somewhat sad in a few parts, and can be confusing in some parts to younger kids. In my opinion, it wouldn’t interest younger audiences as much, nor would their short attention spans be able to last through the beginning. But I do definitely think you should go and see this movie.

Nothing special to it honestly 🤷‍♀️

I really wanted to love this movie because of John Krasinki, but I didn’t. I remember finishing this movie and not liking it. I don’t exactly what about it was bad- maybe there was nothing. I just don’t think it was good. It was immemorable and a bit confusing at times. The younger kids I saw it with didn’t really enjoy it either. I read some other reviews and people are talking about how sad it is?? I didn’t think it was that sad. SPOILERS— the guy didn’t even die, and people are acting like he did and the girl was left an orphan or something. No, she was fine, her dad was fine, everyone was fine— END SPOILERS. Girvn everything, I’d give this movie a 5/10. Have a nice day! ♥️
