Pretty OK sequel that doesn't have much objectionable about it.

Saw this movie, kind of liked it. I guess the educational value comes from the psychology terms they use in the dialogue. There was some hype around involving puberty in the story, but all that extends to is referencing body odor and using deodorant. Basically this movie is suitable for anyone.

Cute, easygoing movie.

The only thing that could possibly be offensive to me is the use of the middle finger gesture, which might be why they didn't give an MPA rating to this movie. It's good for kids, but really I think adults will get more out of the movie than younger ones. It's a little sad, this story.

I loved this movie and definitely recommend it to families. I think the love story aspect is actually kind of mature for a Pixar movie, but it's nothing children can't see. They might not understand if too young, though. The only real objection I can think of is that they make a pun on a crude word, but they did almost the same in The Lion King anyways so I don't mind.

A thoughtful and entertaining version of Pinocchio

This was a fine movie, but not quite my preference. There might be a slight educational value if you want to explain fascist Italy to your child. I'd say the largest concern in this movie is the gun violence found in it, which is more serious than what you'd find in perhaps a Disney movie. Overall the movie is accessible to perhaps older children but I think the audience that will most appreciate the movie are aficionados of the director's other movies, which are mostly not for children.

A beautiful movie suitable for older kids, but likely will bore them

I recommend you see this movie without reading about it first. That way you can make your own interpretation of the scenes. But if you must know about if it's suitable for children, I'd say that it is. The girl in the movie is 11 years old, and I'd say that's a fair age that one could show this movie to children. The R rating from the MPA is not warranted here. There is occasional use of the f-word and one sexual reference, but unless your child knows what it means, it won't register. The movie is very quiet and slow, really so whether it will keep a child's attention is questionable. If you have a very serious child, it could work though.

Great coming of age movie with content that merits a talk

Loved this movie. Great coming of age story. As far as things parents should know is that this movie might be confusing to younger children that don't know about puberty. Less explicit than that Judy Blume book, though. But honestly there was a lot more edgy stuff made in the 80s and 90s that children watched. Mighty be slightly scary at the climax if you have a very impressionable child.

An Exciting Family Adventure

Disney's done it again. The movie is beautiful and exciting, and there's plenty for children to enjoy. I think the only offensive thing in this movie is some bodily-function humor. There are some slightly scary scenes, but it's nothing compared to Disney's last movie, Zootopia.

A mature comedy-thriller that is great for older children and adults.

I think this movie is an absolute masterpiece, and it is literally the best American animated feature of all time. Superlatives aside, parents should be wary of taking young children to this film. The very first scene is gripping and tense, and then it is diffused by sharp social satire. That's the course of the entire film, really. The story of the rabbit cop Judy Hopps and her accomplice con-artist fox Nick Wilde alternates between grim and menacing and snarky and biting. A lot of the dialogue will go right over the heads of toddlers. Could your five-year old tell you what "Rarely have I met someone so non-patronizing" means? By all means, take your mature children to this film, and be dazzled by the art direction and amused at the comedy. But leave the younger ones at home. You don't want them to upset the show when they start crying at some of the more violent scenes.

great movie for teens

This is a great, illuminating movie, appropriate for most children 8 years and up, but perhaps most appealling to those who are around 12 or above. Shizuku is an admirable protagonist who is always a joy to watch. It's a bit heavy on the romantic crush intrigue sometimes but the movie in general is just so wondrous that I think it should enchant most viewers.
