This is a great docuseries for Black History Month viewing or any time that music fans want to delve into the ins, outs, and influences of the pioneering group. Kings From Queens: The Run DMC Story focuses on the group's experiences from the surviving members, Simmons and McDaniels, as well as from their contemporaries, including rappers and other notables in the hip-hop world. As a whole it brings more context to how and why Run DMC were able to rise to the top of the music industry and influence generations of rappers and rap fans.
