What's the Story?
Mike is mixed -- mixed race, that is, and his friends have a lot of questions about his family and how he looks. "'Your mom and dad don't match,' they say, and scratch their heads. See, my dad's a deep brown and my mom's rich cream and honey. Then people see me, and they look at us funny." As the story unfolds, we see a day in the life of Mike as he plays, hangs with friends. and shares how he's proud to be MIXED ME!
Is It Any Good?
This delightful, textured, fun-filled picture book takes on the questions children of mixed races face with humor and offers a strong, positive message of self-love. It comes alive through Shane W.
