What's the Story?
POKÉMON HORIZONS is the 26th season of the Pokémon animated series. Liko (Alejandra Reynoso) and Roy (Anjali Kunapaneni) are students at Indigo Academy, and are excited to be paired with their Pokémon, Sprigatito and Fuecoco respectively. Liko is soon thrust into an unexpected adventure when a group known as the Explorers attempts to steal a pendant necklace her grandmother gave her. But the Rising Vol Tacklers, headed up by Friede (Crispin Freeman), are protecting her. Now a member of their team, she joins Captain Pikachu and the rest of the crew on their ship, The Brave Olivine, as they explore different regions of the Pokémon world. But The Explorers are relentless, and will stop at nothing to get their hands on the pendant and its owner.
Is It Any Good?
The fun and family-friendly animated series features all the excitement expected from the Pokémon universe. But unlike previous installments, which featured Ash Ketchum as the main character, this chapter centers around smart and strong young women who are coming of age with the Pokémon. It also tells a good story that's filled with entertaining battles. Overall, Pokémon Horizons will appeal to franchise fans of all ages.
