What's the Story?
RAT IN THE KITCHEN is a cooking competition show with a sneaky twist. The competitors work together as one team, while knowing there's a traitor among them looking to sabotage their cuisine at every turn. If the chefs can catch the mistakes before they serve and expose the rat, they will split a big cash prize. But if the saboteur prevails, they get to keep the loot.
Is It Any Good?
A genuinely shocking whodunnit is a rare treat in any format; this cooking competition attempts to pull off a satisfying surprise ending in every episode, and mostly gets away with it. Viewers should enjoy trying to spot the traitor among the competitors, but the build-up to the reveal consists of mostly mundane cooking challenges with just a little extra paranoia. The main course is delicious, but the long trail of breadcrumbs that lead there might leave viewers undernourished.
