What's the Story?
In SCOOBY-DOO AND KRYPTO, TOO! the mystery-busting gang finds themselves in a comic book adventure after the Justice League mysteriously vanishes, leaving the city of Metropolis vulnerable to a horde of menacing supervillains. Called in by Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen (voiced by James Arnold Taylor), the team embarks on an investigation to find out what happened. Scooby-Doo (voiced by Frank Welker) and his gang respond to the call and are shocked to find the city in chaos. As the gang explores the Hall of Justice, they encounter Lex Luthor (voiced by Charles Halford) and his cunning canine companion, Rex, and they realize solving this mystery will require their unique skills. With the assistance of Krypto the Superdog, they work to uncover the truth behind the Justice League's disappearance and restore order to Metropolis.
Is It Any Good?
Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! brings together two iconic universes, merging the world of Mystery Inc. with the realm of DC comics in an amusing and entertaining animated crossover. When the Justice League mysteriously vanishes, Metropolis descends into chaos, with supervillains running amok. In this dire situation, the lovable Scooby-Doo gang is called upon to lend their unique investigative skills to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of the superheroes.
The premise is a delightful twist on the classic Scooby-Doo formula, as the gang finds themselves in a world filled with capes and superpowers. The phantom lurking in the Hall of Justice adds a spooky element to the mix, making it a case tailor-made for our beloved mystery solvers. The story has a steady stream of enjoyable gags and clever twists that playfully poke fun at both Scooby-Doo and DC properties. The movie's strength lies in its ability to keep the audience entertained throughout, making it a fun-filled ride that fans of both Scooby and DC Comics can appreciate. While it may not break new ground in terms of storytelling, it delivers a fun and engaging experience for fans of all ages.
