App and website used for calling, messaging; works perfectly- most times-

I have rated this 12+ like I have to other messaging apps, Viber and Whats App. Kids need to be mature enough to use messaging apps; and if anything crude, pornographic, disturbing pops up they should have the courage to talk to their parents. People can swear using the app, flirt, and share pornographic imagery. Even though the GIFs aren't sexually explicit, some gore and blood can be found if searched. Kids need to be mature enough, and handle the app correctly. Connecting-wise however, the app/website tries to bring people together, but long sessions or calls may lag and glitch. But, most of the time, it works perfectly fine, especially for calls that don't last for a long time.

Good application but somehow obsolete, today people use Zoom more.

Is It Any Good?

Skype is an incredible idea, and when it works, it's a world-changing free resource that's opened up communication for millions of people. But it can sometimes seem like one of those modern conveniences that's more trouble than it's worth. It's notoriously buggy; sometimes calls get dropped for no reason, or connectivity is terrible at random. It can be difficult to predict how well a Skype session will go for these reasons, but it's more likely to run smoothly if you have new, high-quality equipment. However, even at its fussiest, Skype has the potential to bring together families and other groups of people. There's nothing like face-to-face communication, and Skype's video calls get close to replicating that experience.
