Longing

Main characters Daniel (Richard Gere), Alice (Diane Kruger), and Rachel (Suzanne Clément) are all White. Writer-director Savi Gabizon is of Israeli descent. Supporting characters include people of various races, ages, abilities, and body sizes, though some are a bit clichéd. Men and women have equal agency and are portrayed as equally emotional people dealing with grief and loss. Characters dealing with mental health issues are highlighted, especially depression. But some insults are verbalized, including someone with a disability being referred to as "crippled" and a "limping dog."

One scene of fistfighting includes a punch to the face, shoving, pushing. Mild redness/bruising seen on a character's face after the fight. Characters yell, argue, throw insults. One character recalls being beaten by his father as a child, including verbal references to how he was physically abused. Verbal references to abuse and being threatened, with inferences of stalking. Language is strong but fairly infrequent, especially in the first half of the film. Words heard include "f--k," "s--t," "a--hole," "ass," "hell," "pissed," "turd," "idiot," "stupid," "crazy," "insane," "fool," "shut up," and "God."

Multiple scenes take place in bars, with characters holding alcohol or drinks seen on a table. Characters occasionally drink glasses of wine. Multiple verbal references to drug dealing, including references to weed, paying a dealer, and drug finances. One scene with a verbal reference to drugging an elderly woman in order for her to sleep.
